The community organisations below can all issue food vouchers for our food bank and will make sure you are connected to wider support.
1. Local Welfare Scheme
What happens next:
Give them a ring so you can talk through your situation and discuss the full range of support available to you, as well as getting a food bank voucher.
The Local Welfare Scheme is help for residents at times of unavoidable crisis when they have no other means of support.
Help includes; emergency support towards food, energy and other essentials including issuing supermarket vouchers and vouchers for the food bank.
2. Citizens Advice South Warwickshire
What happens next:
Our trained advisers can inform you about your options and next steps, or direct you to the best source of help. We can advise on a broad range of issues and in some cases can refer you to more specialist help from one of our experts
Citizens Advice South Warwickshire is a local charity that provides free, confidential and impartial advice and information on a wide range of subjects. Our help is available to everybody in the community regardless of race, sex, disability, sexuality, nationality, ethnicity, religion, beliefs or age.
3. Citizens Advice National Line
What happens next:
Please call them to discuss your situation or be referred to your local Citizens Advice Centre.
4. Help Through Hardship
What happens next:
There’s lots of different ways to get financial support. We want to make sure you know about everything you could apply for. Our advisers will be able to give you advice based on your circumstances. When you call us, here are some of the things we can do:
Check you’re getting all the benefits you’re eligible for
Advise on any extra benefits you might be able to get
Identify any grants you might be able to apply for
Refer you to Mind’s Infoline for support and information to help you take care of your mental wellbeing
Give advice on energy efficiency and smart meters
Help you get some emergency support if you can’t afford essentials
